Across 3,428 US vehicle configurations (282 models from 41 makes) in the GarageDex database, the single most common battery is BCI Group 48, fitted to about 20.9% of vehicles. Group 94R and Group 35 follow.

Each configuration counts once, under its primary BCI group, so the shares add up to 100%. Many cars also accept an alternative size; those are listed on each vehicle page, not counted here.
