Why color fails as a guide

Coolant is mostly glycol and water. Its protective part is the additive package that prevents corrosion, and that package differs between types. Dyes were added so leaks are visible and to tell products apart on a shelf, not to follow a universal code. One brand's orange can be another brand's pink, and both can differ from what your engine was designed for.
