While attempting to remove a child's car seat situated in the rear left passenger seat of the jeep, the release latch failed to allow the seat belt to be released. We had to use a pry bar to physically pry the seat belt rearward in the seat, damaging the seat belt latch before the mechanism finally released the latch.
