Risk: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and fully lock the fuel tank lock ring as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 13, 2024. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Risk: Headlights flickering can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Incorrect sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) software may cause a second stage passenger air bag deployment when only a first stage is intended. As such, these vehicles fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, “Occupant Crash Protection."
Risk: An air bag that deploys improperly increases the risk of injury in a crash.
